Because time is not something to be measured with the eyes, but by the Heart, it's never too late to go and change.

When you find yourself cocooned in isolation and you cannot find your way out of darkness... Remember, this is similar to the place where caterpillars go to grow their wings. Perhaps the butterfly is proof that you can go through a great deal of darkness and still become something beautiful.

Kimberly Williams, LCSW

As a Licensed Social Worker and the CEO of Transitions Life Skills Development, I am passionate about and committed to helping young people learn how to improve their social and emotional functioning and overcome daily life challenges. As an honor graduate of Louisiana State University School of Social Work, with a certification in Children and Youth Services, I have over 8 years of experience as a professional mental health counselor providing community psychiatric supportive treatment and teaching psychosocial skills to children and adults of all ages and backgrounds.

Combining my experience, master’s level education, creativity, relatability, down-to-earth attitude, and realistic approach to therapy, I work very well with the adolescent population. I believe that change happens when people are given the guidance and support that they need to draw on their own strengths and realize their potential to live fulfilling, happy lives. By being transparent and direct, providing compassion, encouragement, honesty, and support, I have helped many individuals overcome obstacles to move forward and thrive in their environments.
